Nagendra has more than a decade of work experience, mainly in the domain of inclusive financial services to the under-served segments of the society. Currently with Ananya Finance, he is heading the agri finance portfolio, which is spread across 10 states and is relatively a new line of business for the company. In the early days of microfinance in India, as the state head, he rolled out microfinance operations for Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (formerly SKS Microfinance) in 2006 in Rajasthan. Later, in the Microfinance Division at HDFC Bank, he looked after MFI clients from West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand & the North East. A consulting assignment with GIZ (arm of the German government that undertakes developmental activities in other countries) exposed him to opportunities in Agriculture.  His areas of interest include strategy, financial planning, financial analysis and financial literacy. For work, he has travelled extensively in the hinterlands spread across various states of India. He holds a diploma in rural management from the prestigious IRMA (Institute of Rural Management, Anand).Â
